Barcelona has a good range of attractions and variety for tourists, who are visiting the cities.  Moreover, there is too much in Barcelona to be discovered and to be explored out. There is all for a tourists surprise in city, ranging from the artistic monuments, impressive architectures, world heritage sites and more. Below are briefed some exciting places to be visited in Barcelona.

•    Barri Gotic: The Barcelona Barri Gotic area has also reputation of being the Gothic Quarter and is situated at the area where old town of Barcelona too is located. In the outer area of Barri Gotic streets vary in style, however, at the old quarter it has narrow cobbled streets with tall old buildings. The reputation of the area itself is established from the fact during 1895 to 1904 Picasso lived and worked in Barri Gotic and Joan Miro also born and lived here during his youth. It is located on the right hand side of the La Rambla as we look toward Placa de Catalunya.

•    Barcelona FC: Barcelona football stadium is the 3rd largest football stadium in the World after the stadiums in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Mexico City. Barcelona Camp Nou. It has capacity of around 110,000 and it remains filled during most of the matches.  This shows the passion of citizens of Barcelona for the game of Football.

•    El Born: Meaning- Just Born- this place has come up in Barcelona as a trendy area with stylish bars, cafes and restaurants that has its own unique atmosphere to enjoy and taste. It definitely has old town architecture with a “new town” feel and its combination in area of Barcelona provides an irresistible appeal to the place.

•   Magic Fountain of Montjuic: The magic fountain of Montjuïc’s first, was a performance held at on May 19, 1929 during the Great Universal Exhibition. The designer Carles Buigas submitted his plans one year before the exhibition. Around 3000 workers used their skills on the project and it was even before a year that fountain was developed out. This fountain is an outstanding show of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics.

•   Beach Barceloneta: It is the closest beach to Barcelona city centre. If you walk to Colom at the end of the Ramblas you would merely take 15 minutes to reach the beach. Barceloneta has famous sea food restaurants which serves fresh food even catch on the very day.  Barceloneta beach even get immensely busy during the peak season and let you to visit the Icaria Beach that is a next beach along from Barceloneta.

Calle Ferran: It is a renowned street in Barcelona. The beauty of the street lies in being having some good quality bars, restaurants and shops that connect the Ramblas to both places Placa Sant Jaume and Via Laietana. Calle Ferran also has a small passage way 20 meters on the right hand side from the Ramblas into Placa Reial

•  Cathedral – (Catedral): The giant Gothic Barcelona Cathedral is a main center of attraction in Barcelona in the Gothic quarter. Barcelona Cathedral is situated at the old town and around the Cathedral. There you can view many amazing example of Gothic architecture and Roman walls. Location of Catedral to the nearest metro stop. In front of the Cathedral there is situated a small square, where you can have street performers, cafes and interesting shops. The area around the Cathedral is so appealing that it attracts you to visit the city again and again.

•  Park Ciutadella: It is a charming and welcoming park at a green space at the heart of Barcelona. The park has water exhibits like a beautiful fountain and small lake along with lots of grass to lie down and enjoy the warm sunshine. There exists a very great spot for relaxation, a walk or enjoyment for kids to burn off their energies.

•  Colom: The Barcelona Colom monument is a memorial in remembrance of great explorer Christopher Columbus. You will get Barcelona Colon at the very southern end of the Ramblas that is very close to the Eurostars Grand marina hotel. This hotel adds to the beauty of the memorial and is located in a situation to explore the city.

•   Olympic Stadium: The Olympic Stadium was the venue for the 1992 Olympic Games were organized ran from July 26 to August 21 of that year. Presently,   Barcelona Olympic stadium is open for visitors to take a look around and look at the places where alt the action happened in 1992.

•   Passieg de Gracia: It is a part of   5 KM long shopping line and is an important street in Barcelona. The wide boulevards on either side of Passeig de Gràcia add to the expression of richness provided by the road. It is also home to the Gaudi’s most important creations for ever- La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

•   Placa Espanya: It is a central transport hub in Barcelona and is also a starting point to visit The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, Museu Nacional d’Art Catalunya de Montjuïc (MNAC) and the Olympic Stadium. All of them are quite interesting and attractive places to visit and are well connected from here.

•  Placa de Jaume: It is a square in the city where regional government headquarters are based. On Sunday afternoons there one can have Sardana dancing performances as performed in a slow, circular, traditional dance method by Catalan people.

•    Placa Reial: It is the most famous square just away from the Ramblas. It’s a social center of attraction during night and is mostly paced with Barcelonian’s and tourists. As they are soaking up the atmosphere and having enjoyment of food or drinks at one of the restaurants or bars around the square.

•    Placa de Catalunya: It has reputation of very central point of Barcelona with respect to being as a transportation hub.  It has a very big central square and is abounded with fountains, sculptures and grass verges. It is a welcome oasis of green in very heart of the city.   During festival times there occur live musical performances in Placa de Catalunya and the square in presence of packed onlookers. Around the square there are located large department stores involving El Corte Ingles, FNAC and Habitat.

•   Las Ramblas: It is a 1.2 Km walkway through the very heart of the city centre. There you can view all sorts of stalls, restaurants, bars and street performers.  Las Ramblas spreads from Monument a Colom in the south to Placa de Catalunya in the North and there many important streets beguns from there.
